Charity Collection: Beaded Bracelets for the Young Onset Colorectal Cancer Center at DFCI
Each month, we'll be highlighting a charity or a cause to give back to through a piece, or pieces of, jewelry. When you purchase from our StephieChic Collection, 50% of the proceeds from each piece will go directly to the charity or cause we're supporting that month.
For September, we're supporting the Young Onset Colorectal Cancer Center at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This collection is inspired by Amanda & Pat Beauregard. Pat, a Marine veteran, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 29. Him and his wife, Amanda, have pledged to raise awareness of the disease while Pat continues his own personal battle. If you'd like to learn more about his story specifically, you can watch this video. If you're interested in learning more about the center at DFCI, you can do so here. Pat and Amanda also just welcomed their first child together, baby Noah - and Amanda shared their experience in this post - which I encourage you to read!
I was connected to Amanda through a friend, and immediately wanted to help them bring awareness to Young Onset Colorectal Cancer. Amanda is also quite the fashionista, and we wanted the collection to represent her passion for statement earrings, but also their saying, "Pray, Hope, Don't Worry". We've specifically chosen the color blue, which represents colon cancer. Wear one of the bracelets or the entire set, either way you'll be supporting a great cause! *Each bracelet sold separately*
